A Strategy For the Future

In November, Ashworth Road Baptist Church approved an initiative to begin a Contemporary Worship Service that will be held on Saturday nights. Our hope is to be in a position to begin this worship service no later than the fall of 2008. In order to provide an alternative worship service, we will need to make some upgrades and modifications to our sanctuary.

In order to do this, a special offering will be received. This money will allow us to upgrade the audio sound system and as well as provide for a new video projection system. Additional money will be invested in marketing for the church. All upgrades, modifications and marketing will be for the benefit of not only the new service, but also for our current worship service and ministries. Our anticipated expense for this initiative will be approximately $50,000.

We would like for you to prayerfully consider making a sacrificial financial gift toward this new service which will help us to extend our reach into the community. Our goal is to raise the entire amount over and above our budget. This means that any donations should be over and above your regular tithes and offerings.

I’m excited about this new opportunity for our church, and believe that it will help us to be the presence of Christ to a cross section of our community that we are not reaching.
