Who we are

In the summer of 1971, the Missions Council at Crestwood Baptist Church in Des Moines began to consider beginning a mission church in West Des Moines. The first Sunday worship of the new mission was held November 1971, and the church was formally constituted as the West Des Moines Baptist Church in June 1973. Three years later, the name changed to Ashworth Road Baptist Church to more effectively minister to members of surrounding communities. Since 1988, the Korean Baptist Church has shared the facilities. In 2001, Ashworth Road Baptist Church became affiliated with the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship.

 How to become a member

The membership of Ashworth Road Baptist Church consists of people who profess Jesus Christ to be their Savior and Lord, have been baptized by immersion, and have adopted the Articles of Faith and Statement of Purpose found in the church constitution. If you're interested in joining us as a member, please contact the pastor.
